This beautiful home in a wooded area of Union MO received a home addition – but this addition went straight up! A 2nd floor was added above the basement and 1st floor and it was done in a way to be energy efficient and comfortable. Foam Engineers applied 4.5 to 5.5 inches of open cell spray foam insulation in the 2x6walls; 10.5 inches of open cell spray foam under the roof deck; and fiberglass batt insulation in the garage. It would have been very difficult, if not impossible, to properly vent that roof deck so spray foam was a perfect material selection for this application.
