Expanding Foam Insulation; SPF; Spray Foam Insulation; Open Cell; Closed Cell; 1/2 pound; 2 pound; whatever you call it… this stuff expands in place and adheres to the surface to which it is applied. This means (using conventional construction techniques) it is the ONLY insulation material that is fully adhered to the surface it is insulating! Full adhesion means it does not sag over time or pull away from the surface it is insulating.
Foam Engineers is shown here insulating a bonus room in Washington Missouri.

Foam is spray applied to the walls, subfloor, and ceiling. A couple of views from the outside give an overall perspective of the project.

A garage below the living space means choosing Spray Foam Insulation is an absolute “no brainer”. Spray Foam Insulation AIR SEALS to keep fumes and exhaust gases outside – not in the house. Spray Foam Insulation can be applied directly to the underside of the roof sheathing creating an unvented attic design which is both COMFORTABLE and ENERGY EFFICIENT. And, finally, Spray Foam Insulation can be spray applied to the underside of the subfloor to make sure feet stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer!
Below is a picture taken from the garage. Once Foam Engineers is finished, the underside of this subfloor will be buried in spray foam insulation.
